The depicted stamps:

1. Rosy Pastor: A passerine bird in the starling family, Sturnidae, also known as the rose-coloured starling or rose-coloured pastor

2. Garganey Teal: A small dabbling duck. It breeds in Europe but is strictly migratory, with the entire population moving to southern Africa, India, Bangladesh in winter

3. Forest Wagtail: A medium-sized passerine bird with a distinctive plumage has the habit of wagging its tail sideways unlike the usual up and down movements of the other wagtail species

4. White Stork: A large bird in the stork family, Ciconiidae. Its plumage is mainly white, with black on the bird's wings

A set of 12 definitive stamps shows local birds was issued by the Union of Burma on April 16, 1964:

White-browed Fantail (Rhipidura aureola) - three stamps, same design and different colors (1, 2, 3 P):

On July 1, 1968, Burma issued the same set of stamps with same designs, values and colors but in different stamp sizes. Here are the 1964 and 1968 sets for comparison:

Both 1964 and 1968 sets were overprinted "SERVICE" in Burmese and were reissued. Here is one overprinted service stamp for an example:

I prefer to collect UK, British Commonwealth esp Pacific area ( not excluding West Indies/Canada ) and Western Europe. At the bottom of my zone of interest is Eastern Europe and communist countries.

During 120 years, from 1847 until 1966, USA issued only three stamps show birds (real birds, not birds in state symbols or in coat of arms), the first of them in 1947. Here they are:
