Thanks for the thread Jose Paulo! Is there any easy way to buy these stamps from abroad? Many of the new issue dealers seem not to offer Brazil anymore.

Christmas 2015

ABOUT THE STAMPS - The stamps portray images that embody kindness and goodwill towards others. The first stamp depicts a child receiving a gift and being kindly embraced by her guardian. On the second stamp, an affectionate hug joins a grandfather and his granddaughter, also representing the affection that should unite children and the elderly. Each of the stamps has, on the background, ornate stained glass windows in vivid colors, conveying an atmosphere of peace, devoutness and brotherly endearment. At the top of the stamps, two fragments of garland convey the joy and beauty of the Christmas time.
ImageImage
ABOUT THE SOUVENIR SHEET - Composed of three stamps, the block portrays representative images of solidarity and support, symbolizing everyday Nativity scenes. On the first stamp, we feature the guide-dog helping its owner, the care of the child with his pets, the woman embracing a horse and petting the dog, demonstrating kindness and respect for animals, and the dove above the group, a symbol of Peace. On the second stamp, we see a loving family, in which parents and children are in harmony and interact with each other. On the third stamp, the elderly men, carrying bread, blanket and gifts, depict the Three Wise Men, and the one in the wheelchair is assisted by a young woman. The Star of Bethlehem and the arcs represent protection for those who serve and are served in their journeys of solidarity. At the bottom of the block, a flowered grid symbolizes the security and joy of the three groups represented.

The Water Circuit – Minas Gerais
The Touristic Water Circuit of Minas Gerais is located in the south region of the state, and it is formed by the towns of Baependi, Cambuquira, Campanha, Carmo de Minas, Caxambu, Conceição do Rio Verde, Lambari, Maria da Fé, Soledade de Minas and Três Corações. The region is an excellent alternative for those who intend to improve or maintain their health, aim to get rid of stress, and wish tranquility, relaxation and lots of peace. The therapeutic characteristics of the approximately 35 mineral water fountains are well-known for a long time. There are reports that members of the Portuguese court were in the region looking for health treatment. With the iron rich waters of the fountain, in Caxambu, today called Princess Isabel and Conde d’EU, the Princess carried on her fertility treatment, in 1868. Cured of anemia, Princess Isabel was able to get pregnant and, in gratitude, presented the city with the Church of Saint Isabel. The fountains have distinct characteristics and the water of each of them is indicated for a different type of treatment. The waters, with magnesium, sulphur and ferruginous characteristics, among others, should be drank directly from the fountain in order to keep their properties. Using mineral waters and other natural resources, the Hydrotherapy Spa Circuit offers a number of options for therapeutic and aesthetic treatments. Besides the mineral water fountains, each town has its own specificities that enrich the experience of visiting the region. Religiosity is a highlight in Baependi, with the devotion to Blessed Nhá-Chica, who lived most of her life in the region. Nhá-Chica was a daughter of slaves, and considered the “mother of the poor” for her great dedication to the needy. Since her death, in 1895, several healing reports were attributed to her, the reason why she was beatified in 2012. The old Casino Lambari, opened in 1911, recalls the golden times of the region, a period of glamour during which it hosted illustrious figures such as governors and presidents. The wagon rides in the towns, together with the Train of Waters, from São Lourenço to Soledade de Minas, take the visitor back to the 19th century. The special coffees are a highlight in Carmo de Minas. In Conceição do Rio Verde, tourists can go shopping in the numerous clothing stores. With its low temperatures, Maria da Fé is very attractive to those who want to closely know the production of olive oil, and in Três Corações, land of “king” Pelé, soccer is featured. For these and other reasons, the region is one of the main tourist destinations of Minas Gerais.

The Joint Issue Brazil-Romania
Sculptures highlights the Eve sculptures by Victor Brecheret and Gheorghe Leonida, which enchant for its meaning, beauty and prestige in plastic arts. The work of Brecheret represents a dynamic composition due to the different orientation of the volumes, resulting in a feline movement of the back and head counterpointing the direction of the arms. It is currently displayed at the Cultural Center of the city of São Paulo. The Eve sculpture by Gheorghe Leonida is portrayed in an active posture: the body arched to the right, right hand raised towards the face and head, her hair pulled up, slightly curved over the apple she holds. It is displayed on the lawn of the National Romanian Art Museum, in front of the old Royal Palace. The sculptures impress by the notable execution and precision of the composition of the forms and details.

Hi Jose,

Slightly off topic but hopefully you won't mind.

We are producing GB FDC for Rio Olympics, we're looking to get the stamps and hopefully get them sent out before the Olympics and then postmarked in Rio on days that GB athletes win Gold.

Unfortunately, we are struggling to find English speaking contacts at Corrieos. Do you perhaps have any suggestions?

Each one of them features the portrait of an artist known as a pillar of the French Artistic Mission in Brazil:Joachim Lebreton - leader of the French Mission; Grandjean de Montigny- architect; Nicolas Antoine Taunay - landscape painter, and Jean-BaptisteDebret - historical painter. Besides the artists, it represents the work in whicheach stood out. In the Montigny stamp, the first building that housed the Imperial Academy, and the detail of a column capital of Ionic order. 22ª LUBRAPEX- The Strength of the Luso-Brazilian Fraternity
The stamps stand out as ethnological pieces, dating from the 20th century. The first stamp shows the “Coroa radial com cobre-nuca”, made of vegetables splints, cotton yarn and feathers, owned by the National Museum of Ethnology, Portugal. The second stamp highlights a “Pendente”, in the shape of a heart, produced in filigree silver gilt and enamel, belonging to the Museum of Popular Art in Portugal. Each stamp has, on the right side, a stripe indicating the issuing country, the logo of the exhibition and the year 2016. Framing the perforated area, on the left, a reference to the Exhibition logo, and, on the lower right corner, a part of the facade of the National Museum of Fine Arts, in Rio de Janeiro, where the first LUBRAPEX was held.

The team in the souvenir sheet included 9 Olympians who participated in 2012 Olympic games in London (some of them competed at 2004 and 2008 Olympics, too :D ): Fabiana Carvalho Diniz (№ 2), Alexandra Priscila do Nascimento (№ 3), Samira Pereira da Silva Rocha (№ 4), Daniela de Oliveira Piedade (№ 5), Fernanda França da Silva (№ 8), Ana-Paula Rodrigues-Belo (№ 9), Mayssa Raquel de Oliveira Pessoa (№ 16), Eduarda Idalina Amorim Taleska (№ 18), Mayara Fier de Moura (№ 22), and Deonise Fachinello Cavaleiro (№ 81).
The team's coach, Morten Soubak from Denmark, too, lead it to a quarterfinal at London Olympics in 2012 :D
So, the SS would take a righteous place in my Olympic collection :D
