Re: My English, GB & UK Horse Racing Cover Collection.
From the early 1900s to the mid-1960s, most major towns had their own slogan postmark which contained a number. In the case of Newmarket it was 557, within a triangle. Of course it was impossible to know the exact date of posting unless another date stamp was applied, but with advertising of the racing dates in the slogan, we know approximately when it was used:
You will note both of these covers are addressed to the same collector & Ian Hine appears regularly throughout my collection here. Some collectors, like Ian, arranged multiple copies of slogans positioning the stamps on their cover from the middle to the extreme right. This way they could have examples where the slogan was clear of the stamp & the date stamp was clear of the stamp as shown on the covers above.

The racing season is now over & we revert from the 'general slogans' used to advertise race meetings to the 'LP or local publicity slogans' used in the off racing season from late October to April:

Re: My English, GB & UK Horse Racing Cover Collection.
After the war the family moved to Budapest, where Julian lived until the 1956 uprising when he fled to England. Julian was in the final year of his studies at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest when the uprising broke out and in November 1956 when hostilities were almost over, Mr. Vásárhelyi left Hungary and went to London, England where he continued his studies at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts. He finished his studies there after 18 months.
In 1958 he won a scholarship from the Paderewsky Foundation of New York which enabled him to spend one year in Baroda, India and two years in Indonesia studying oriental art, and painting portraits and other works depicting the local life. The year 1963 finds Mr. Vásárhelyi in Cuzco, Peru, the ancient capital of the Incas, where he taught for two and a half years at the university. Whilst studying in the Far East and South America Julian held several exhibitions of his work, which were reported in the local press and received many compliments.
Mr. Vásárhelyi returned to England in 1965 and began his career as a free lance artist occupied almost exclusively with stamp designing. He designed 7500 stamps for 165 different countries.
Many thanks to Stampboarder pvachani for providing the background on Gyula László Vásárhelyi.
These are the only examples of the Philart souvenir covers that I have.

Mikel Delzangles was born in Biarritz, Southwest of France, in 1971. His parents were not involved in the racing industry yet his godmother is the Marquesa Sol de Moratalla, a major owner-breeder in France and Great Britain. It is with her encouragements that the teenaged Mikel started riding out for a local trainer and gained his first professional experience alongside Yorkshire-based jumps specialist Jimmy Fitzgerald. Back to France, he spent ten years working as assistant to Alain de Royer-Dupré (trainer of 2010 Melbourne Cup winner Amercain) before starting up on his own in November 2000, with ten horses in his care.

Re: My English, GB & UK Horse Racing Cover Collection.
A quick comparison of LP394t type 239 & LP546t type 291:
As you can see quite a vast difference between LP394t & LP546t.
Hairy v Smooth horse, more body of the horse shown, more of the jockey shown, different riding style of the jockey, different horse's ears & mane, different positioning of the horse's head just to name a few.
Personally I prefer LP394t - Harry the Hairy Horse.

I haven't actually a complete cover for this one, so I am happy to just have a little piece (or is that peace):
I have other examples, duplicated & unreadable dates & they all have the QEII 4d black machin stamp.
