Google Lens - A useful tool for beginners

Post by jivie798 »

Recently I bought a packet of stamps which had stamps from various countries. Took it as a personal project to catalog them since I have nothing to do since the coronascare. Most of the stamps can be identified from google or Colnect, if you can search written details on the stamp. But what if it is not 'typeable' like Chinese, Korean or Japanese letters.

This is when Google Lens is an useful tool.

First you download,

Search in your gallery,

Search and success yield may vary. But it gives you clues. Hope it is useful.

Updates on the post:

I found that Colnect Stamp Identifier, yields better results so long the stamps are listed. Even better yield if you search with a cropped image.
