Problems with "Essential Steps" for new users

These boards are a cinch to use, but if BB's are new to you, here are a few basic tips for new users to help you settle in. How to post, edit, how to add photos or avatars etc. Who are the Board Moderators etc. Please feel free to ask questions or add suggestions yourself. Add threads here re any technical issues that might concern you.

Problems with "Essential Steps" for new users

I've recently joined the board and received the email upon account activation. Read everything written there, and yes, it's not the usual "boilerplate wording".
[...]Part *ONE* is simple - hit "Reply" or "Forward" to this message - and email
admin@stampboards.com briefly confirming you got this email.

That is tangible PROOF the email you signed up with is your real email and
IP address - we **INSIST** on that for all members, and we check it
carefully[...]
I've followed the instructions and hit reply to write a few sentences confirming that I'd read and proceeding to the second essential step. But today I've received an email from my email provider, indicating that the email couldn't be delivered. I'm including the mesage I received in case you want to investigate this with your service/email provider:
Delivery incomplete
There was a temporary problem while delivering your message to admin AT stampboards DOT com. Gmail will retry for 46 more hours. You'll be notified if the delivery fails permanently.
The response from the remote server was:

454 TLS currently unavailable
So please be aware that some of the new users might not be able to send you an email as requested.

I have had similar difficulties about 11 days ago - haven't checked recently.
