Important sale of philatelic literature ...

Post by Franco Peli »

Dear Friends,

on February 23 in Moncalieri near Turin (Italy), the "Paolo Gazzera" auction house will hold an important sale of philatelic literature, the philatelic library of "Giangiacomo Orlandini" (former owner of Harmer of London).

A total of 796 lots are on sale, with no purchases commission.

For your information and reference, I send you the link to view the auction catalog.

Maybe you can find something you miss in your library.

Hi Thierry,

Thanks for that. That is what I understood too. My Italian is a bit rusty but with the help of my phone translator and not Google translate that is rubbish by the way, I've been able to check that too.

However that shows that this company like many in Europe is still behind with technology....

I'll do my best....

Regarding the sale of philatelic literature on 23 February by Paolo Gazzera, on the "Philasearch" website it is possible to view all the covers of the volumes put up for auction.

Thanks for your help.

I used Philasearch.com and bid on a book. Unfortunately I was beaten to it. Oh well better luck next time.

Dear Mr. "Ceres",

Lot 281 - R.M. Gibbs "GRI" ...

I also tried to bid for this lot @100 euros, unfortunately I was not able to win it.
A dear friend surpassed me by offering 120 euros.
It was sold at a good price also because it is difficult to find, in the UK it is sold for £.200 and in the US for $.880.
When you can find it for sale.

In friendship !

Franco
