Some of you may have heard of Robin Hood, the figure of legend from Nottingham who stole from the rich to give to the poor.
It seems he has a successor, fraocon84, who is trying to steal from the stupid & give to himself.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Extremely-Rare-Australian-Stamp-Collection/174572873569
This lot of 5 ruined KGV Heads is apparently in Extremely Fine condition, issued in the decade 1901-1910, and worth £800.
Wrong on all counts.
His other listings are equally deluded, including the obligatory 2c Red Washingtons, without which no dreamer's listings are complete.

The above link is quite good for a laugh.
This junk is yours for only £3500 if you buy it now - quick! Before the bidding goes past that! And the description is barely literate:
"Rare stamps of the world Full Album Stanley Gibbons . Dispatched with Royal Mail 1st Class recorded next day delivery Royal mail service fully insured 07523963325 don't miss out on the best deal online stamp album some of the times you see have errors, they are genuine and extremely RARE stamps don't miss out on them... You will never get to see one again pick also available"
Or how about this rare George 6th for only £400? He has 165 items listed, all completely worthless.
He has ONE feedback as a seller. And it's negative.
PS. He's now reduced the 'rare Australia' above to only £400.

More ripe fruit from the tree of delusion.....
ebayer smartrofessor (please tell me that isn't an attempt at smartprofessor), I hate to spoil your day with a dose of reality, but the stamp is worthless and as common as muck. There were over 335 million of them printed.

This is a strange one: well-versed seller oas-cny with more than 10,000 sales has a Belgian Congo stamp on offer for USD 499.00 while he correctly states in his description a catalogue value of USD 8.00 for a MH stamp.

Agreed. I see these sorts of things a few times a week, and for people with good stamp sales and normally accurate pricing, I assume they are typos. Its easy enough to leave out the dot.

"The only one in the World" - Yeah, keep telling yourself that sunshine.USA stamp Franklin 1 c green with - the only one in the world!!!
USA Postage Stamp - Franklin 1 c green ultra R ! error. Worldwide free shipping - priority
The stamp is certainly authentic because it comes from the collection of a great philatelist and, to be sure, it was shown to other people with very great knowledge, who, after careful examination in this ultraviolet X-ray, confirmed its authenticity. It does not have a certificate because there is no person in Poland who would have the authority to issue it, and when I sent an inquiry to your US stamp expert living in Germany, I have not received any reply to this day, although several years have passed. Thank you for your attention and best regards.
Feel free to watch my other auctions because I am starting to sell a large collection of stamps from all over the world that I have been collecting all my life but today unfortunately I have cancer and I am very short of funds for treatment.

Not exactly a 'dreamer', but what on earth to make of this?
Listed under 'Commonwealth Stamps - Bermuda'
The 'description' is just a repeat of the title.
I was tempted to buy it for 50p / free postage, just to see what turned up, but was just too late, as you see!

Apart from the random picture, it's now really bothering me - what this can mean? I mean, just read it slowly -

It's like some secret agent message!
Now I'm really tempted to bid on it

Something about that picture says 'Russia' to me - could be wrong!
So I'm now a bit worried about winning it, in case what turns up is $50,000, a sniper rifle, a bottle of Novichok and a list of names.............

It looks like this seller's-mania is spreading around the world. This one lucam6361, zero sales, is trying to sell a zero value Italian stamp (even if it would be in decent condition) for a thousand euros. The courious thing is that he claims it having a certificate from an esteemed specialist.

Re: eBay and Other On-Line Dreamers - A Photo Lot Compendium
I will give adams80 an "A" for ambition and effort, even though he has boring and useless descriptions, and an A+++ for being a dreamer who must have spent a fair bit of time on his listings. Here is one, pulled at random from his list:
Price EUR 1,350.00
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Francobolli-USa/284135533414?has ... Sw-JRf8MmR
Not just a garden variety dreamer with half a dozen stamps, he has no less than 271 stamp items for sale, all overpriced like this one, and all containing a minimum of two photos taken at different angles of each lot. I wonder just how many hours he wasted lovingly laying out, photographing and listing all these lots. Obviously pricing took no time at all. He just made a figure up.
All for nothing.
Here is his complete stamps listing:
https://www.ebay.com.au/sch/Stamps/260/m.html?item=284135533 ... sn=adams80
ETA: my humble little thread, originally posted just as a query as to why people are like this will turn 14 this year. Who woulda thunkit?

Norm, I would have offered him 30-50 cents for the posted stamps, one post back, on this thread. That is a top of the line offer! and generous to a fault.
I prefer to collect UK, British Commonwealth esp Pacific area ( not excluding West Indies/Canada ) and Western Europe. At the bottom of my zone of interest is Eastern Europe and communist countries.

The delusion is spreading. Maybe it's carried by covid. That said, this seller is in Italy, which has always been a bit of a dreamer stronghold.
adams80 wants 300 Euro's for these 6 worthless stamps, two of which are Austrian, not Australian. Postage is a bargain 20 Euro's on top.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Francobolli-Australia/284136476873
Their other listings are equally barking mad, including the apparently obligatory USA 2c red Washington.

Delusion will probably never be cured by a vaccine.
Seller pasm_2108 could use such medical aid.
He offers 23 Belgian stamps for the small sum of GBP 50.00.
Unfortunately for the seller the stamps can be found in any Belgian bin and are as such worth a combined 23 eurocents ... if you feel magnanimous.

Listed under 'Commonwealth Stamps - Bermuda'
The 'description' is just a repeat of the title.
I was tempted to buy it for 50p / free postage, just to see what turned up, but was just too late, as you see!![]()

Apart from the random picture, it's now really bothering me - what this can mean? I mean, just read it slowly -
"Postage for flowers, adidas, good condition, small, 2cm, great, fab, what else"
It's like some secret agent message!
Now I'm really tempted to bid on it![]()

Maybe if you won the lot they'd send you a used 2nd class stamp.
Or maybe they'd just email you a picture of one.

Thank you - this and the dress are the first time they have listed anything for sale. The 18 feedback comes from purchases.

fraocon84, mentioned further up this page, goes from strength to strength.

Another fresh member of the Delusional Guild.
Seller (?) searowa30 is trying to get rid of two rare 3 Ore Norwegian stamps at the very competitive price of GBP 4,000.
The additional description is worth a laugh: Norway Norge Stamp 3 ORE post shaded stamps x 2
please refer to code prices online per 1 stamp- so you can get an idea of individual Value
I will sell both for £6,700 - either to a serious collector or someone who fancies making a profit at auction
No silly offers
No indication as to which year these stamps are dating from.
Anyhow the 3 Ore is at best worth 30 Euro per stamp when from 1887 or zero if from 1910. (One can note a penciled 56 on the back of one stamps, which would make this the 1893 stamp worth some Euro 15)
As to rareness, even the most expensive variety was printed 4 million times.
With regards to shades, could be a different engraving (which changed over the years) ...
Please notice the novel presentation, on a cigarette pack.
This silly seller is not even worth a silly offer.

I don't know if this member of the "No Silly Offers" gang has ever graced these illustrious pages, but if not then he's a worthy addition.
cosworthvsevo, the sensei of the Delusional branch of the higher mentioned gang asks for an eye-watering GBP 250,000 for some very common junk.
The description ( Stamp collection. From various country have more than what’s posted. I have had some of these valued I know what there worth no silly offers.) warns us that there is more rubbish on offer.
I don't know where these people get their valuations, but I'm sure that the valuers in question all have a great aversion of catalogues and knowledge. Maybe the word catalogue gives them a rash?

The trickle is turning into a flood, and the idiots are multiplying faster than ever.
New ebayer orko_8782 is Dutch, and has clearly been reading the instruction manual on how to make an impressive entry into online selling. And possibly smoking a lot of drugs.
As usual, the playbook is being firmly adhered to: Worthless stamp, poor condition, stupid price, ridiculous postage costs.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/stamp-Australia-1-One-Penny-Postage/303842358912
And, of course, the apparently legally obligatory 2c Washington:

Re: eBay and Other On-Line Dreamers - A Photo Lot Compendium
Chris, the 2 cent red is in a shoot out with the 1 cent green Frankin for bragging rights. This one is particularly ambitious, with a lovely modest description and heartfelt plea for money. He has three other 1 cent Franklins for sale, all at silly prices.
Seller: emanuel-27-07USA stamp Franklin 1 c green with - the only one in the world!!!
Price PLN900,000 (AUD313.000)
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/USA-stamp-Franklin-1-c-green-wit ... wWQdfhuK0
He also has this extremely common kiddies kollector CTO Hungary for sale at PLN15,000 (AUD5,200), again with a nice flowery, remarkably inept description:
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Hungary-1959-Luna-1-Luna-2-uniqu ... SwRtlfmDyyHungary 1959 Luna 1-Luna 2 unique modification Read description R!
Dear friends, I would like to offer you one of the rarest and most interesting stamps in the world. Well, the Russians once sent the Luna 1 probe to the moon and the Hungarians issued a stamp No. 1 in the photo on this occasion. Then the Russians sent the Luna 2 probe to the moon, but because the probes looked identical, the Hungarians came up with the idea to add only the exact time of landing on the moon to the previously issued stamp and this is how the stamp with the Luna 2 probe was added to my photo No. 2. It is the only known modification of this type philatelic in the world.
If you are wondering why someone who has collected stamps all his life gets rid of such a unique item, I answer, I have two diagnosed cancers and the drugs are incredibly expensive so I have no other option.
I hope I didn't bore you and if there are mistakes in the text, I apologize because I don't know English so I use google translator.
If my price seems too high to you, use the "best offer" option and make your own offer.
If you need more photos or information, please write and I will be happy to help.
Refunds are possible if you receive not what you bidding.
Thank you for your attention and I cordially greet everyone, Mirosław Górny.

Poland is another popular stop on delusion's European tour.
Ebayer donatai starts well with this page of ruined junk at $250 + $25 post, but lets the side down with no 1c Franklin or 2c Washington.
Must try harder.

I prefer to collect UK, British Commonwealth esp Pacific area ( not excluding West Indies/Canada ) and Western Europe. At the bottom of my zone of interest is Eastern Europe and communist countries.

Top seller (euh no sales!) Fratou_41 has an immaculate collection of no more than 250 stamps for sale.
He only wants EUR 7,777.77 for this fantastic batch of the most common cheapy-cheapy stamps.
What really put me off is the EUR 0.01 shipping cost.
According to the description the stamps are "Postfrish". Probably doesn't understand the meaning of the little black marks that can be found on all stamps.

Rare: sigh, no not really. Only 427.36 mln printed.
Value: again sigh ... not USD 1,095 but catalogued at 20 cents. We know the drill: real value zero.
Postage and import charges: please do not send it with Space X.

Phil, I love it when people like this add a scan of a stamps with a ruler next to the item which is supposed to mean something. It is something that seems to be getting trendy with the dreamer set.
They don't know what it means but they do it anyway. Maybe it looks "scientific" I think they have seen listings with perf gauges and don't know what they are looking at, so a ruler is the next best thing. So they have one, or buy one and add this important accoutrement to their listing.
Case in point is your new best friend dg2081980 and the lot you cited:

Norm, maybe it is to better size up the stamp in question?
Could have used a cleaner ruler though.

But on the positive side, there were no mangled American president stamps involved.
That in itself is already comforting

The elusive attic finds club is showing off its newest find.
Non-stamp seller el_tigro has a collection of pretty pictures, yours for only EUR 4,999.99.
Apparently it has been collected over 40 years and is (of course) very valuable!
Noticed loads of CTOs, which of course, well know to Stampboards members, increases value massively.
As to real value ... closer to EUR 4.99 ... for the stamp album.
Well, everybody has the right to make a fool of himself ... check for Mr. Tiger.
