Paris cinderellas on Eiffel Tower postcard

Post by Mattvcam »

I came across a postcard named 'Souvenir de la Tour Eiffel' with 8 Paris cinderellas attached to the front and 2 text labels with information about the Eiffel tower attached to the back, as you can see in the images.

Does anyone have any information about the Paris stamps? Are there only 8, and when were they made? And when was the postcard used? Google let me down in this :)
Kind regards

If you 'Search Google by Image' (right click on mouse), you can find a few. The one here shows one postcard used in 1974: https://osta-ee.postimees.ee/en/paris-et-ses-monuments-1974-82582241.html.

There is reference to another which states a date of October 1957.

Other than these, there is no further information that I can find.

I don't know about their origin but have a 8 pictorial + 3 text labels of them. The same images in different colors, and the text label in German.

When I opened a box and saw this I did a little checking and have seen one used in 1953 and this one in 1959, so they appear to have been on sale for quite some time.

Most Cinderellas are a different to colour to those in the first post.
