I start this thread hopping to boast the interest for cinderellas among Stampboarders.

I've many cinderellas from stamp exhibitions in my country, Catalonia (SW Europe) and some from European countries.

But I'm afraid, I don't know nothing on Australia, New Zealand and other Pacific countries Cinderella production, I'm looking forward what our fellows can show.

Let's start, where it all began: UK

Manchester 1947

London 1980

Very good idea for a new thread, Cursus. 8)

Here's an example of mine from Germany:

This reprint of Hamburg 1866 1¼ Schilling stamp was produced for the 1931 Moderne Philatelie (Mophila) exhibition in Hamburg in the format of a miniature sheet.

This was issued to commemorate the exhibition and was available for sale at the exhibition to raise funds for the Winter Relief charity (even though the exhibition was held in August!!!), but was NOT valid for postage, hence fits your theme of Cinderellas for stamp exhibitions...

For anyone who's interested, here's a thread with all sorts of other postcards, covers and memorabilia on the Mophila Hamburg 1931 Exhibition:

Yes will be an excellent thread.

A lot of the exhibition material needs to be bought up to date.

Forums like this become a wonderful catalogue.

I feel that the older limited exhibition material, often engraved, have a suitable place in comprehensive collections.

Some of the more recent Exhibitions, worldwide, where there is a plethora of material and post markings etc are obviously over the top fund raising and do lessen the collectability.

More is not better.

Stamp Exhibition Cinderellas began WAYYYYYYYYYYYY before 1947!

Here are a few I offered for sale here this week for $A45 and the world's leading Cinderella dealer bought them, so the value was there it seems!

Stockcards of old Cinderellas etc back to 1897. $A45

Interesting lot found in between pages in an old album in Estate buy today.

Right back to 1897 Brussels x 2 – but those creased.

Of course, Glen, I know that there are items much older that what I uploaded yesterday. The problem is that, being my own collection too local, I don't have older material that might appeal our friends.

But, back in 1916, in my home-town, Barcelona (Catalonia) they stayed a war-related stamp exhibition and issued some cinderella sheets:
