Hi Vince

Cinderellas are stamps that were not produced by a postal administration. Most of them were produced in the first half of the twentieth century. They were usually affixed to a letter or postcard next to the real stamp to convey a message (propaganda, advertisements, political slant, health issues, etc...) Just about every aspect of life is represented on cinderellas.

Some collectors include fake stamps and ugly back of the book items, such as non-listed tax stamps, in this category.

The REDEX set, or at least part of it, as I'm not sure if other colours were used. One of the 2 red stamps was printed recto-verso (sheets were probably stacked up when they were still wet).

Does anyone know if other colours exist?

Added this to stock today - NEVER seen another!

Aust 1927 Opperman sheet 7-20.jpg

Australia 1937 Hubert Opperman huge Charity Mini Sheet: The Charity cycle ride Fremantle-Adelaide-Melbourne-Sydney. Sir Hubert Ferdinand Opperman, OBE (1904-1996), referred to universally as ‘Oppy’ by Australian and French crowds, was a legendary Australian cyclist.

And later a Federal Cabinet Minister, and later still, an overseas Ambassador. His endurance cycling feats in the 1920s and 1930s earned him international acclaim both here, and especially in France etc. In 40 years of dealing have never owned one - or even seen one offered. HUGE - see it next to a 1/- Kangaroo stamp! It is even larger actually, being a mini sheet, the 4 x wide edges are folded over, and as usual for such practice, partially stuck - a warm water bath will allow it to be dried flat as printed, if needed.

Clean and fresh and attractive and AUTOGRAPHED by Oppy as well! Doing research on this, I saw one in worse condition, and with NO outer margins for $250 - www.tinyurl.com/1937Oppy - have never seen another. $A195 (Stock 692JX
