Can anyone ID this Yugoslavian stamp from 1920's?

Post by Audrasforest1 »

.
Does anyone have any information regarding this stamp?

The Cyrillic writing has me stumped?

As I cannot find any information on the internet, regarding Year of Issue ?

Exact country name? possibly -(Kingdom of SHS) value? ( none are for sale that I can locate on any websites )
Catalogue no. ?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Reason: Expanded the rather vague and word heading, and turned it into a QUESTION of some kind, and added air and spacing and added image link inline.

It's a revenue stamp and is not included in general postage stamp catalogues

Yugoslavia. The denomination is in "Din" = Dinar which is the big clue.

SHS stands for Slovenaca, Hrvata, i Srba, which means "(Kingdom of the) Slovenes, Croats, and Serbs"

The earliest "SHS" overprints were issued by the short-lived State of Slovenes, Croats and Serbs in former Austro-Hungarian territory in November 1918.

On 1st December 1918 this state merged with Serbia (which had already merged with both Montenegro and Vojvodina earlier in the year) to become the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes.

This stamp is from a 1923 general revenue set issued by the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes.

The country changed its name to the Kingdom of Yugoslavia in 1929.
