Woo hoo thanks. The postie has visited me this week a couple of times, so will need to update that thread at some point. I send, therefore I receive! I'm lucky at least a few penpals do appreciate using nice stamps on letters.

It'll be an honour to join the ranks of posters of the month!
I am a Penpaller and Stamp User. I send therefore I receive. I muse on letters and stamps at correspondencefan.blogspot.co.uk. I have a forum, A World of Snail Mail. I'd like to nominate lanuii for the thread "Sharing an old collection of German Stamps - Third Reich Era (1938-45)". It sparked one of the most fascinating discussions I've seen on the boards regarding German philately. :)

Hear, hear! Dr Waffle puts a great deal of work into a lot of threads and that is one of the best.

I only wish there was time to ask questions or comment on more of them, and other similar threads, because we learn by asking and answering, as well as by looking at pictures.

I'll nominate -

'PHILAS NSW Committee appear to have LOST $3 MILLION in under a year?'
https://www.stampboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=100819&start=1351
David Benson.

Probably the largest organised philately financial disaster/scandal in global HISTORY, and the idiots behind it all are cheerfully trying to get re-elected this month. Around $3 Million of collector money now lost forever it seems.

David Benson has worked tirelessly to expose the incompetence of the current Committee, and was abused, and intimidated and stood over in the process and reportedly copped anti-Semitic comments from PHILAS president John Moore, who is also sadly on the Committee of the Federal APF collector body, and has refused to apologise. SHAME.

I prefer to collect UK, British Commonwealth esp Pacific area ( not excluding West Indies/Canada ) and Western Europe. At the bottom of my zone of interest is Eastern Europe and communist countries.
