However this one is missing all the black. I have seen quite a few of this error, but this is the only one I have seen on cover, even though is was philatelically contrived:
A close up for comparison:

Nothing wrong with these pair of 1976 Nationhood fdcs postmarked in Brisbane is there
Or is there, have a closer look
Can you see it now
This is ACSC 540cc where the "Stone" colour is omitted from the Kangaroo & Emu (on the right hand stamp).
I have seen one other fdc with a block of 4 on it of this variety. It is where a block was added to a fdc with a single postmarked at Melbourne Philatelic Bureau & the block was postmarked at Charleville. Apparently a sheet with the missing colour & fdc was sent to a stamp dealer in Charleville (& he received on first day so he ran down to post office). He told me after selling some off he had about a half sheet left when Charleville was flooded & the rest were ruined.

The post office didn't do any official covers for this issue themselves, so here's a couple of covers I did for the 2002 Christmas issue. I sent the first lot off with a request for the official FDI postmark - and what came back was not quite what I was expecting.
I've never seen the type of postmarkers they use, but I assume they are fixed-date, so this isn't a case of just forgetting to alter the date, they've accidentally picked up the wrong canceller and used one from the previous "The Magic Rainforest" issue. And they didn't notice their error or I imagine they'd have just replaced the covers.
I sent a few more covers after the first ones came back, these were alright (second cover above).
Now when was the 125th Anniversary of the Eureka Stockade?
Was it?
A :- 3rd December 1978
B :- 3rd December 1979
C :- 3rd December 1980
The answer of course is "B" 3rd December 1980, so the Sydney Philatelic Sales Centre make a bad date error while it is possible someone came back to Eureka the next year but somehow I don't think so.

150th Anniversary of Charles Sturt's Explorations PSE, correctly postmarked at Sturt St SA:
However this one postmarked at Wentworth NSW has the 1½d value from Centenary of Sturt's Explorations (issued 2nd June 1930) added. Predecimal stamps were de-monetised on 13th February 1968 & therefore the added stamp should not have been postmarked:
If the one above wasn't bad enough, below both the 1½d & 2d values of the Centenary of Sturt's Explorations (issued 2nd June 1930) have been added but have been incorrectly postmarked with the fdi postmark on 12th November 1980 (50 years after date of issue):

The failure to add stamps for extra postmarking continued with the 75 years of Surf Life Saving pse below. The correctly stamped postmark from Bondi Beach has had "unstamped" postmarks from other nearby Sydney Beaches applied:

The adding of old stamps returns here with the 4c 50th Anniversary of Royal Surf Life Saving Association. It is ok to add but not ok to postmark with a fdi postmark of 4th February 1981, when it was issued on 6th July 1966:

Not sure what year this "Healesville Sanctuary" postmark is from because someone forgot to add the year to the dateline Perhaps they thought 3777 was the year rather than the postcode

The Darby Munro stamp was correctly postmarked on it's date of issue, 18th February 1981:
Now Darby rode Peter Pan to victory in the Melbourne Cup in 1934, so it was a nice tie in to add the Peter Pan stamps to the cover. However the Peter Pan stamp was issued on 18th October 1978 & therefore should not have been cancelled with the Glen Waverley fdi postmark.

Correctly postmarked Australia Post fdc for the 50th Anniversary of Airmail:
But our man from Glen Waverley strikes again, having a cinderella postmarked fdi.
I am starting to think he had a friend in the post office or he worked in there. This is the 3rd wrong Glen Waverley postmark I have added to this thread covering a period of less than 6 months

Australia Post fdc for the Yachting in Australia with the special postmark & correctly postmarked on date of issue, 14th October 1981.
But some one at the RAAF Base P O at Richmond NSW forgot to change the postmark date from the Floral Emblems issue & incorrectly postmarked this one, 28th September 1981:

So this machine slogan cancel was introduced in 2000 & is still going strong in 2014 now that Ford has been in Australia for 89 years. Perhaps the postmark is going stronger than Ford these days!

Just before I leave this design issue, here is the Australia Post fdc for the 50th Anniversary of the ABC. It is signed by a large number Adelaide TV & Radio personalities. Unfortunately I don't recognise any of the names:

75th Anniversary of Scouting 1982 - 1983 PSE correctly postmarked on the first day of issue at the Melbourne Philatelic Bureau:
And another postmarked with the special pictorial postmark for the 75th Anniversary of World Scouting Leichhardt also on first day of issue:
The 75th Anniversary of Scouting, Redbank ScoutJamboree ran from 29th December 1982 to 7th January 1983, with a special postmark of the same design for each day. Below is one dated 6th January 1983:
The dateline of this postmark must have been a wheel, rather a different canceller for each day with a fixed dateline. How else would you have the one below dated 7th January 1982, which is before the fdi & the start of the jamboree:

The 1983 Queens Birthday stamp was issued on 20th April 1983 & below is a correctly postmarked Australia Post fdc from Kingsford NSW:
The error of forgetting to change the year in the dateline for the first new issue is followed next by forgetting to change the dateline from the previous new issue, as was the case below with Lenah Valley, Tas, who forgot to change from the PSE for the "Opening of the Canberra GPO" on 12th April 1983:

Here is a "Sterling" Silk Cachet fdc done by Adelaide Stamp Dealer, Jack Koch for the St.John Ambulance Centenary (1883 - 1983). The fdc is cancelled with the special St.John Ambulance Centenary postmark from Miranda Shopping Fair & is dated 8th June 1983:
Here is a "Benham" Silk Cachet fdc done by UK Stamp Dealer for the St.John Ambulance Centenary (1883 - 1983). The fdc is cancelled with the special St.John Ambulance Centenary postmark from Miranda Shopping Fair but where did the dateline go

The 1984 Australia Day stamp was issued on 26th January 1984 & below is a correctly postmarked Australia Post fdc from Glenelg SA. But there is a second stamp added postmarked on the following day at GPO Darwin, fdi 27th January 1984.
FDC is signed by postmasters at Darwin & Glenelg, so maybe there is a story about this one

The adding of old stamps surfaces again here with the 4d 150th Anniversary of the Post Office being added to the 175th Anniversary of Postal Services PSE. The added pre-decimal stamp should not have been postmarked as pre-decimal stamps were demonetised on 13th February 1968.

Prestamped envelope for the Birth Centenaries of JB Chifley & J Curtain issued on 25th January 1985.
Correctly postmarked at Curtin ACT on fdi:
And this one also correctly postmarked with Chifley stamp added & postmarked with CDS at Chifley:
But someone added the Chifley stamp to this one & cancelled with the fdi postmarker at Bathurst on 25th January 1985 when the Chifley stamp (part of Prime Ministers set) was issued on 26th March 1975 almost 10 years before:
Wonder if anyone added the Curtain & Chifley stamps & postmarked them at Curtain & Chifley I will just have to keep looking

Gouger Street West, I am reliably informed by an Adelaidite that it is pronounced "Googer":
There was movement at the post office, for the word had passed around
That Gouger Street had a new stamp machine that day,
And they had put the wrong paper in it & it might be worth a thousand pound,
So all the stampies had gathered to play.
Dealers and collectors from the places near and far
Had arrived at the Post Office with delight!
With apologies to Banjo Paterson

But he wasn't the only one. I am told there was a big line for the first day of use of this new machine at Gouger Street West, & those who queued early received an unexpected bonus:
