Given the date on the accompanying postage due stamp, I would suggest it is 12 MARch 44

Actually it looks as if the date on the Fortitude Valley postmark is 830A13NO44, as I doubt that the datestamp would have had a 3 figure month.

The year on the Wernadinga datestamp is clear enough to confirm it as 44.

Yes, I don't know why I put it at March when it is clearly November! :oops:

Must have been sent to a not too select group of QLD postmark collectors.

Can you better define your suspicions? I also feel it does not look quite right but I have no definitive specific concerns.

Hi!

here is a Queensland postmark, which I`m not sure about, but I think it is Arrilalah dated JE 1918, so clearly in RO period. Is it an old datestamp or is it a new ERD by 11 years!?

Information I found is:

ARRILALAH
45km SW of Longreach FOREST GROVE renamed.
Receiving Office 1887-1890;
Post Office 1890-1917;
Receiving Office 1917-1927;
Post Office 1927-1971
