Round 3 of the Heineken Champions Cup next weekend so 6 games from that Competition for Round 6. Games will hopefully be played on 16/01/2021 and 17/01/2021.

Please check if you are on the Late Posters List.

If you are you need to post a prediction by 22:00 (GMT) on Sunday 10/01/2021.

The Rules:

Points System:

Points will be allocated in each Round based on finishing positions for the Round.

Fixtures for Round 6 which are scheduled to take place on 16/01/2021 & 17/01/2021. Game time (GMT) in brackets.

16/01/2021 : 2020-21 Heineken Cup Round 3. - Exeter v Stade Toulousain (15:15)
16/01/2021 : 2020-21 Heineken Cup Round 3. - Munster v Clermont (17:30)
16/01/2021 : 2020-21 Heineken Cup Round 3. - Montpellier v Wasps (20:00)
17/01/2021 : 2020-21 Heineken Cup Round 3. - Bath v La Rochelle (13:00)
17/01/2021 : 2020-21 Heineken Cup Round 3. - Racing-Metro 92 v Harlequins (15:15)
17/01/2021 : 2020-21 Heineken Cup Round 3. - Bristol v Connacht (17:30)

Be careful with predictions.

For anyone looking in who has not entered the competition before there is no knowledge of Rugby Union required; it is basically a guess.

The Rules are always posted on the first post of the thread.

As for how to predict ? Well there are no rules really.

If you look at the Rules you will see I allow 35 points in the event of a game not being played. That is what I think should be the minimum number of points scored in a First Class Rugby Union encounter.

So;
1) Take 35 and multiply by the number of games.
2) Add/Subtract your age or house number.
3) Add/Subtract the number of cats/dogs you have.
4) Add/Subtract the ages of your Children.
4) Add/Subtract the day of the month.

There's a possible prediction ?

There is no magic formula. It's all a bit of fun.

No decision as of yet but it would appear that Rounds 3 & 4 of the Heineken Cup will be postponed.

I have a contingency plan for this Round however.

This revolves around a decision being made before 12:00 (GMT) on Tuesday next (12/01/2021).

Should this weekends European Games be cancelled by that time the following will happen;

1.) The fixtures for Round 6 will be replaced by 6 games from the All-Ireland League.
2.) People who have made predictions before the new fixtures are posted may change their prediction
should they wish.
3.) To facilitate this, the Closing Time/Date will be extended to 18:00 (GMT) on Friday 15/01/2021.
4.) The Late Posters deadline remains as is (i.e. 22:00 (GMT) Sunday 10/01/2021).

If a decision is made after that time the Round will be declared void and Rule 1 invoked.

Do continue to make Predictions as even if the Round is declared void you will receive 10 points in the Qualyfing Standings and will be eligible to compete for the extra prize in Round 7.

As feared the Heineken Cup Round 3 & 4 games have been cancelled.

I had originally planned to use the All-Ireland League as substitute fixtures but we had extra restrictions over the weekend so all 4 Divisions of this League are also on hold.

The Ladies, or to be precise, the Ladies of the England Womens Allianz Premier 15s, have kindly come to our rescue.

The revised fixtures for Round 6 are;

16/01/2021 : England Womens Allianz Premier 15s - Wasps v Worcester Warriors (13:30)
16/01/2021 : England Womens Allianz Premier 15s - Durham v Saracens (14:00)
16/01/2021 : England Womens Allianz Premier 15s - Loughborough v Bristol (14:00)
16/01/2021 : England Womens Allianz Premier 15s - Sale v Gloucester-Hartpury (14:30)
17/01/2021 : England Womens Allianz Premier 15s - Exeter v Harlequins (14:00)

Please Note: Only 5 games.

Anyone who has made a prediction may change their prediction up to 18:00 (GMT) on Friday 15/01/2021.

I'll stick with my previous prediction for this round as I know nothing about women's rugby (except that at school as a callow 1st year learning the game, some of our 5th year girl rugby players absolutely terrified me!!!)

A real dark horse of a Tournament but as it's the only one going ahead this weekend & next weekend I'm happy to include the games. Should be interesting.

I know little enough about the Women's game except that International wise there are Canada, England, France & New Zealand and then the rest.

There's a Women's World Cup scheduled for September so we might have a little Competition on that.
