Help with Plating of early GB 1d and 2d QV please

Hi,

This is my first post so please be gentle. I have not collected stamps since I was a kid but lockdown made me decide to get some of the unattainable of my youthful pocket money.

I have some nice stamps I think but currently venturing into the murky depths of plates. I have some of the recommended literature and have tried to ascertain what plate each stamp comes from.

Wondered if anybody could tell me which plates and why so I can see if I got it right or not. The coloured stamps I am assuming are Cinderellas from 1939 exhibition but would love that to be wrong.

You need to past a hello message 0n the introductions board, about something concerning your collection.

The first 2d is Plate 4.

Hello dbuk1,

The 2nd 2d blue I-G is from plate 6.

The 1d black D-K is from plate 6.

The 1d black R-A is from plate 5.

The two 1d reds are too small to offer an opinion.

There are specific threads for plating 1d blacks, 2d blues and 1d reds.

Thanks so much for the help so far. Moving abroad, I bought these on the chance they are Farley follies. Wondered if anyone has any experience of these?
