Predictable alright David but there are far more important things atm than Rugby Union (or any other sport).
I had a look at my Ante-Post Portfolio for the Cheltenham Festival in March. If the meet were abandoned the stakes returned from void bets for the 4 days would be a lot more than your average punter wagers in a year. I'd rather have the bets and some superb early prices I managed to procure including mouth-watering wagers on locally trained A Plus Tard (40/1, now 8/1)) for the Gold Cup and Aspire Towers (50/1, now 10/1) for the Champion Hurdle.
We were doing pretty ok here in Waterford up to the end of December but cases have more than doubled since.
A friend of mine aged 51 sadly succumbed only a few days ago.
A publican in a sea-side town just 7 miles from the City held a totally illegal New Years party involving 80/100 people including a number on vacation from UK.

The town's Covid count has rocketed.
Thinking aloud I ventured that the person responsible should be charged with manslaughter; my nephew agreed but though that any self respecting barrister would make a murder charge stick!
Stay Safe
