Hi everyone,

The name is Michael Grieve. I am the Secretary of The Mount Gambier Philatelic Society Inc. At present I am very busy as secretary for South Australia's Philatelic Congress which is being held in our beautifully refurbished City Hall in Commercial St Mount Gambier on the 13 th and 14 th October.

We have received sponsorship from the Mount Gambier City Council and will be commemorating 140 years since Caleb Fiddler was postmaster of Mount Gambier. Fiddler and Webb is the oldest retail store in Mount Gambier still trading and has also donated a prize. We will be opening the exhibition, which consists of a State level exhibition and Congress level exhibits, on each day at 10:30 am and closing on Saturday at 5:00 pm and Sunday at 4:00 pm.

We have some excellent caterers and the setting overlooking the Cave Gardens is quite enchanting. We have had to limit the numbers of dealers to 3, Gary Watson - Prestige Philately, Andrew Ballis- Cover Connection and our good friend, Mike Kovaleff from Victor Harbour.

On the Saturday night, we are hosting a dinner at the Commodore Motel and the cost is a reasonable $32 per head with quite a choice of meals. The speaker is the inimitable Gary Watson. We produced a souvenir booklet but these have sold out.
