Spider-Man just unexpectedly webbed his way in,courtesy of Philexx.

I sold off my childhood comics collection just before the pandemic began (and prices rose🙄), but I still have my comic superhero stamps!

Coronavirus cancel is an interesting slice of history, too.

Thanks for adding to my collection, George!

Glad you like it Nick.

I gave my childhood collection of Marvel / DC comics away when a young man. It included Hulk #1, a quick look on Ebay showed Hulk #5 for 500 US dollars so I guess it would have been worth more than that. That's life.

What’s the purpose of the “franking checked” cancel? Is that rare because they only check a small minority of mail for correct postage, I wonder?

And, George, you sold Hulk #1!

Wow!

Now that I think I would have tucked in a bottom drawer for later! Or had it framed.

I had nothing quite that valuable in my former comics collection. Lots of modern X-Men, Frank Miller Daredevil etc. Quite pricey these days.

I do not know whether it is rare but I saw it for the first time a few weeks ago on a cover I send to Derrick. I'm using some older Dutch stamps which are still very good for franking but it might be that the machines do not recognize them and the cover is checked once again and then gets that cancellation.

It beats the standard "Amsterdam" cancel.

Cheboksary is the capital city of Chuvashia, Russia and a port on the Volga River.

Thank you Timur. Lovely card!

I too got a card from RevRed which was lovely:
Scan 77.jpeg
Described as "Shell, Removable mortuary statue for C.M." by the artist Wout Muller it is one of the pieces of art at Fairbrook House, Co. Waterford.

It also got both cancels, the CDS and the machine on top of an NVI stamp.

Also glad to see the card reached you OK George :D

A beautiful cover came in from Matmex today-
Austria postage stamp issued to commemorate composer Georg Kreisler with first day of issue pictorial cancellation, and a 'Missent to Thailand' seal.

Thank you for the beautiful addition to my thematic collection.

And yes, it has gone to Thailand and then reached Bengaluru, even though the address was neatly printed and India written in bold!! :D :D

The minisheet is great, like the design style used in it and I hope more issues like this will be released in the future.

Asked Kenneth for a used minisheet as well and it came up too, safe and sound, thanks Kenneth!
Got both now, mint and used. Seems it's my last cover received from far Dubai but perhaps more from Singapore awaits...

By the way, these sticky labels placed on every cover by Lithuanian post totally annoy me...
Thanks for the update Brewdog :D Glad it reached you safely
