Mowbray Collectables' 22 September 2023 public coin auction

Mowbray Collectables' next public coin, banknote and medal auction will be held at the West Plaza Hotel, in central Wellington, New Zealand, on Friday 22 September 2023 commencing at 12 noon NZ standard time (GMT + 11 hours).
Amongst the items on offer are several outstanding, rare New Zealand items:

Lot 1: New Zealand Medal 1860/61 issued to Lieut. S.M.Medley, estimate NZ $2,000
Lot 310: NZ 1935 proof set, including Waitangi crown, estimate NZ $18,000
Lot 353: NZ/UK ½d mule, unique, estimate NZ$8,000
Lot 358: NZ 50c/Canada $1 mule, estimate NZ$ $7,000

In addition there are a group of 38 early 20th century China banknote lots including:

Lot 435: 1906 Ta-Ching Government Bank $10 - a consecutive numbered pair (of only 12 known),estimate NZ $9,000
Lot 452: 1927 Chartered Bank of India, Australia & China - Shanghai $5, estimate NZ $5,000

Also included in this auction are numerous world coins (ancient & modern), gold sovereigns and other gold coins, collections of medals and tokens as well as NZ and world banknotes.
