Another buyer has left negative feedback on Nassar's account skystamps1010 ; he made his feedback record private again today.

Yes, bottlejfb is already a known George Nassar forger account - see Fleurieu55's post a few weeks ago. Every listing is a typical Nassar forgery.

ROB
Can we get some report into close this new FakeBay crook bottlejfb please folks?

Forging Monograms again on mint Kangaroos, (wrong colour ink match you clown) fake Kingsford Smith OS overprints, that appear to match old BPA cert, but what he offers was centred lower than those on the certs. The average ebay Bunny will not notice neither. The absurdly fuzzy scans only a moron would bid on. And 'Private Auctions' only a larger Moron would touch.

I would recommend not reporting the overprint block. The two tone spots in the top margin of the certificated block appear to match the item on sale ; but regardless of whether it actually IS the same item, the Ebay minions will SEE it as a genuine item because it has an expert certificate. And if they take the view that we are now reporting genuine items as forgeries just to get Nassar into trouble, this is likely to undermine all future reports.

There are plenty of others to report ; so the block isn't necessary, and may cause us to lose credibility.

The scammer Nassar has today removed the Private block on his feedback for ID skystamps1010, and changed the account name yet again to stamps_athletes. The previous negative feedback is still on his account, but with the words removed. All the usual home-made fake overprints, perfins and laser-printed forgeries being listed again.

I am illustrating a NWPI cover which (in addition to unpunctured stamps) also has a 6d Ultramarine punctured OS (SGO9) which would be unique on cover.

Note

1. The envelope is a genuine OHMS cover emanating from the Treasury in Rabaul.
2. There is a genuine and important enclosure from the Treasurer inside the cover which matches the addressee.
3. The cover was sold as genuine by a very reputable auction house.
4. The other non-OS stamps on the cover are genuine.

The forgery is a masterwork - I doubt if Nasser could rise to such heights by reason of the following.

1. The CDS on the stamp, which extends over the cover is genuine.
2. The OS punctures are perfectly aligned and clean cut (unlike Nasser's usual work).

The only reason I spotted this as a forgery is by comparing the date of delivery of the OS 6d to New Guinea which post-dated that of the cover by some considerable time. Even if something looks as good as this 'Beware'. It is likely that the stamp was lifted from the cover and then expertly punctured and replaced.
6d Forgery.jpg
6d os forgery Close up.jpg
I have acquired this item for reference purposes after it was returned (on my advice) by the original purchaser who received a full refund immediately from the auctioneer.

There should be some ink in the hole under "B" if the cancel were added to a perfined OS stamp.

It is a conundrum. If the date were right it would be off for a cert immediately but it just can't be genuine as the Perf OS 6d wasn't delivered for another 2 years.

One of the latest offerings from our friendly neighbourhood forger globbaladmin - The NWPI stamps from left to right can be descried as follows: -

6d - an absolute dog although probably genuine.
3d - again right but of little value
10/- amateurish forged Rabaul cancel on faded copy
£1 - again amateurish forgery of the Madang cancel on a faded SG99

Currently bid up to $A210 with private bidding.

A round of applause for this buyer who managed to get another negative onto Nassar's ID bluewonder000 (previously stamps_athletes).

His contradictory response won't help him at all ; presumably added after he failed in his usual appeal against the feedback comment.

And now our friend, the Sydney Forger has reverted to one of his favourite pastimes - Forging OS punctures on NWPI stamps. The difference in catalogue value of the two items below is as follows: -

Unpunctured OS £15.50
Punctured OS £950.00

Putting them up for sale at $A29 is indicative that they are forged but I am sure the bunnies will bite, sadly.

Looks like the alias 'globbaladmin' as listed near the start of this thread is active again selling fake things.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/384985516062
Image

Things I notice that fail the sniff test
- the third top left 1 Pound official has a fake Cunninghams postmark (see https://www.stampboards.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=21874 for other examples) and even if real postmark would never have been used in such a small post office
- actually the 2nd and 3rd top left stamps have datestamp dates that indicate usage before 1907 when the 'Official' overprints were first used (before that they used 'OSPO')
- bottom left the Passport fee was not used on this stamp
- the Fine Paid stamps look to have postal postmarks, which seems wrong as they are meant for revenue purposes

So I suspect all the other overprints of value will be dodgy as well

Robert,

I saw this one last week. He chose to puncture a 4th Setting stamp - SG 92 which we know was never issued as an 'OS'.

...and the cancel could be forged i.e. the letters are too far from the outer ring (I did not evaluate since the incorrect stamp chosen was sufficient to identify it as a forgery).
Time to quit. Was told what I should collect.

The criminal Nassar has changed one of his Ebay IDs yet again, perhaps in response to the adverse publicity from aklbped’s “name and shame” Ebay listing. Previous ID bottlejfb is now new ID oceanbluestamps, with all the usual faked overprints, perfins, postmarks etc :

Another mickey-take ID change by Nassar today, spoofing Glen's trading name. Formerly ID bluewonder000 (previously stamps_athletes, previously skystamps1010, previously tin7778). Looks like the "name and shame" listing got him rattled ... but it has now gone. Perhaps our friend aklbped could re-do that listing, but with the new IDs included? Nassar won't now be able to alter the recently changed IDs for a month.

Oops, just realised that my last post didn't write out the new ID so it won't be picked up by the Google bots.

For any new readers - newly changed Ebay ID g-stephensstamps has no connection with Glen Stephens: it is the latest username of George Nassar, a scumbag criminal stamp counterfeiter in Sydney who uses multiple Ebay IDs to defraud buyers with worthless forged overprints, OS perfins and fake postmarks on piece.

Think that about covers it ....

He certainly is getting very rattled.

Selling far less fakes than 6 months back -- well done to all. :)

All his high feedback account have been closed by ebay for forging and shill bidding.

And he generally gets pathetic bids on the ones he now offers -

https://www.ebay.com.au/sch/g-stephensstamps/m.html?item=385 ... 3561.l2562

He'd make far more per hour flipping burgers at Maccas again. And THAT is legal.

He got only $A10 before all ebay/paypal fees for this clear fake - Maccas pays $25 an hour. :!:

Only one bid - clearly a shill bid by himself as it ended July 28, and he re-listed it immediately - indeed the re-listed forgery is near ended - as can be seen - also no bids -

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/385030856184

Report this to ebay folks - ebay in THEORY does not allow Shill Bidding. Seldom is there clear cut evidence of it - but here we have that -

Ebay took down my name and shame listing, presumably after a complaint, for "referencing other users"...

On the positive side, it attracted 90 views over the period it was up, which probably would have included a good percentage of the buyers who regularly look for SA Departmentals.

I have some other ideas that I will hold back on for now, to see if the forger tries listing any more of these items. I may or may not publicise on this board given we know he looks here...

Thanks all

I recently sent a suggestion to Gibbons / Commonwealth about updating the very out-of-date catalogue notes for the South Australia officials (page 30), which currently and misleadingly say "Forgeries of a few items do exist, but most can be readily identified by comparison with genuine examples..."

They sent this helpful reply back, though sadly I waited too long in the year to get the 2023 edition changed :

"Dear Rob,
Thank you for your message.
I have forwarded your email to the catalogue editor and we are in complete agreement that the note needs updating. We will revise it for the 2024 edition released next Autumn - 2023 is already at the printers.
Kind regards
George James
Head of Commonwealth, Retail and Auctions.
"

I suggested that they include a recommendation for collectors to only buy examples with a certificate, in view of Nassar having flooded the market with forgeries ; but whether they will go that far remains to be seen.

In future you need to be sending emails directly to Hugh Jefferies. He is far more likely to respond quickly than those in the Strand....

Email either Glen or I if you want his email address. I update Hugh on NWPI every year. Unfortunately you have to get in quick because Part 1 is prepared in the manner in which it appears in the catalogue thus Australia and New Guinea are always dealt with in December/January. Pricing is done separately at the Strand at a later date.

As you know SG announced that they were going to include pricing for the South Australia departmental issues a couple of years ago but nothing has happened to date. I had the note you suggest for them added to the NWPI OS punctures a couple of years ago in view of Nassar's forgeries. As I got in before the end of the January it was added in the next edition.

This year following lobbying by Glen and myself, there will be a note concerning the Radio Station cancels of New Guinea (which many dealers offer at full price). They will be pitched at a small percentage of the postally used price.

I think a note about the cleaned pen cancels of Tasmania on SG16 and SG17 could also go in next year.

I have have been in email correspondence with the SG Part 1 Editor over the last few days on other matters and have mentioned to him your plea for the footnote regarding the SA departmental issues. He will, as far as he is aware, be editing next year's Part 1 and is currently proof reading the current 'sectional' Australia. I have asked whether it is possible to put it in there if applicable. Certainly it should be in next year's Part 1 due in September 2023.

Today I received a further message from Gibbons :

"Thank you for your email.
A revised note is planned for the next edition of the Australia catalogue (due later this year), and this note will then filter down in to the 2024 edition of the Part 1 catalogue (the revision was done too late to be included in the forthcoming 2023 edition).
Best wishes,

I hope our leader can do something about our friend Nasser who seems to have adopted the moniker g-stephensstamps !!!!!

The offers below are two obvious forgeries as the type doesn't match any genuine overprints....

Even the Blind Nun would be ashamed of that rubbish.

Please report him and for blatant identity theft.

Hopefully they'll wipe the entire account.

That needs to come from you, Glen. Ebay won't take any notice of a 3rd party

You can probably log a complaint under the Username policy linked below. This forbids either :
- The same username as another seller or similar to an eBay Shop name
- A term that is similar to, or might be confused with, a third-party's trademark or brand (for example, CocaColaSeller)

Another Nasser classic. NWPI OS SGO16b, O18,O19 and O4. Total cat value over £1,100,

Problem with the Die 2 'Rosine' O16b is that it is 4th setting. All genuine OS punctures are 5th setting. Why ruin a stamp which had a cv of £180 in any event.

All forgeries......

The criminal Nassar has changed one of his Ebay account names yet again. Former ID oceanbluestamps is now oceaniastamps . All the usual fake overprints and perfins :

Oceanbluestamps listed this 1964 5d Christmas cover with red omitted and ended it without a bid (item no longer available). Not sure how he removed the red (put the cover under the sun ??) but hope it was not the case that a bunny gave him an offer to end the listing.

Alex .. EVERY link to ebay **** MUST **** have an image as they scroll off in weeks.

Not sure what rock you have been hiding under but the 1964 5d Christmas 'MISSING RED' is the most faked stamp in Australian history.

Naturally no COVERS are known or recorded - except from ebay fakers.

A day in the sun here bleaches out the red -

These clueless ebay idiots clearly should have spent $100 on an ACSC, where it advises the only know GENUINE examples, are a couple of used copies, and a single mint one. No mint copies in pair with normal!
