Looking for a Seller specializing in supplying older Mongolia Stamps?

Post by cvcope »

Hello out there; can anyone suggest a seller of Mongolia stamps?

I have a Mongolia want list of stamps that I cannot locate via my usual stamp sources.

Thanks for any referrals/suggestions.

Or, if they are still available, the post offices.

https://mongolstamps.com/ Not a recommendation but it’s there.

And all threads are supposed to have a picture in the first post.

Yes, cvcope cluelessly did not indicate what ERA he seeks, or add an image.

As you correctly point out the PO there sells most of the last 50 years of issues at face value, which is likely where 90% of the ebay and Delcampe seller stock comes from if you want to pay many times face.

Have you tried Ebay, 8900 listings and more added each day. https://www.ebay.com./sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2047675. ... _sacat=260 and over 3000 listings sold. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=mongolia&_sac ... Complete=1
David B.

Thank you, David. Yes, I have tried eBay; that's one of my main places to look for stamps and related items. Just checked again. Cannot find what I'm looking for— but, I appreciate the suggestion.

Thank you, Norvic. Thanks for the mongolstamps.com suggestion. I looked at it and did some searching. Didn't find what I'm looking for— but, it looks like they have a LOT of Mongolia there. I'll keep looking. I appreciate your help.

Hello, G/A; Here's a pic of one I'm looking for issued in 1959
Mongolia – Holy Flame, 1959 issued.jpg
. I dispute your assuming I'm clueless because I didn't include the dates of issue I'm looking for; in the case of Mongolia I'm looking for almost everything from 1924 (cradle) to present. Thanks for reminding me about a pic to be added in the initial post.

—Regards,

I repeat, you were clueless, and have needlessly wasted a ton of time of other members by being absurdly vague.

You now say you are seeking ''almost everything from Mongolia from all eras'' but you then cheerfully tell us that ebay, Delcampe, a huge Mongolia stockist dealer, and the massive PO stocks does NOT contain anything you seek.

Totally clueless, and quite inconceivable that you are correct.

Mongolstamps: thanks for the tip. I will check out your website (and/or write you) regarding my interests.

By the way, for any doubters that my initial request/inquiry (April 9, 2022) re. where to find sellers of Mongolian stamps was made in good faith... in this past 2 months I have purchased between 150 and 200 Mongolian stamps and I have added many to my Mongolia want-list. In these 2 months I have discovered a number of good Mongolia sources to match against my want list. I can share these sources if any of you are interested.

Good news and bad news

For what it's worth, I just visited https://mongolstamps.com/ this week and found the website to be very well done. Much better than even some bigger countries. There are a lot of very interesting stamps dating back many years (surprised). I selected a few, tried to purchase, and hit a brick wall. Tried 4 times in 2 days and failed each time. Not sure why. I've been able to purchase (online) from the Iceland, Hungary, and Ukraine postal admin recently without any issues. Anyway, not sure what the problem is but maybe I'll try again another day before giving up. It was a shame as they had some nice stamps available.

I've managed to put a small order through (half a dozen sets and a few postcards), I'll post again here if/when it arrives. Postage charges seemed very reasonable.
